Rinku Singh smashed his maiden T20 hundred in the UP T20 League 2025, guiding Meerut Mavericks to a stunning chase against Gaur Gorakhpur Lions at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. The India batter, fighting to revive form ahead of the Asia Cup, scored an unbeaten 108 off 48 balls to seal a memorable win.
Meerut Mavericks looked in deep trouble at 38/4 in the 8th over while chasing 168 runs. The collapse left their hopes hanging, but captain Rinku Singh staged a remarkable rescue. With Sahab Yuvraj Singh unbeaten on 22 from 22 balls, Rinku powered through with clean hitting.
He finished the game in the 19th over, smashing 7 fours and 8 sixes. Out of his 8 sixes, 5 came in his last six balls, punishing Abdul Rehman and Vasu Vats in consecutive overs.

IPL Batting Position Issues
His struggles were linked to batting positions at Kolkata Knight Riders. With impact substitutions in play, Rinku often came in at No. 6 or lower. In IPL 2025, he rarely faced over 20 balls. In one such match, he made 36 runs at a strike rate of 144, helping KKR win. Another innings of 19* off 10 balls against Rajasthan Royals also proved vital, but he was soon pushed down the order again.
