
_Arjun Tendulkar Gets Engaged to Saaniya Chandok
Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has gotten engaged to Saaniya Chandok, granddaughter of Mumbai’s prominent businessman Ravi Ghai. The couple celebrated their engagement in a private event with close friends and family members from both sides.
Arjun, 25, is a left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder who currently plays for Goa in domestic cricket. He has also represented Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. Arjun began his domestic career with Mumbai in the 2020/21 season, making his T20 debut against Haryana. Before that, he represented Mumbai at the junior level and was part of the India U19 squad. In the 2022/23 season, he moved to Goa, making his first-class and List A debuts.
In first-class cricket, Arjun has played 17 matches, scoring 532 runs with one century and two fifties. He has taken 37 wickets, including a five-wicket haul and two four-wicket hauls. In List A cricket for Goa, he played 17 matches, scoring 76 runs. In the IPL, Arjun represented Mumbai Indians in five matches, claiming three wickets in 73 deliveries at an average of 38.00, with best figures of 1/9. His batting in the league has been limited, with 13 runs off nine balls at a strike rate of 144.44.

Saaniya Chandok is known for keeping a low public profile and comes from one of Mumbai’s most influential business families. The Ghai family has a strong presence in the hospitality and food industries, owning the InterContinental hotel and the Brooklyn Creamery ice cream brand.
According to official records from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Saaniya is a Designated Partner and Director at Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP in Mumbai.
Ravi Iqbal Ghai, her grandfather, is the chairman of Graviss Hospitality Ltd. The company is a family-owned conglomerate with deep roots in hospitality and ice cream manufacturing. He is the son of Iqbal Krishan “IK” Ghai, founder of the iconic Kwality Ice Cream brand. IK Ghai also founded the InterContinental hotel on Mumbai’s Marine Drive.
Ravi Ghai has expanded the family’s footprint in India and abroad, particularly in the Middle East. He established ice cream manufacturing units there and boosted exports. Under his leadership, Graviss Hospitality continues to run the InterContinental Marine Drive. The company also supports ventures like The Brooklyn Creamery, founded by his grandson, Shivaan Ghai.
