Teen Fans Drive 6 Hours to Meet Vaibhav Suryavanshi
India’s teenage cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is fast becoming one of the most beloved young players in the sport. During the India U19 tour of England, two young fans, Aanya and Rivaa, drove six hours to Worcester just to meet the 14-year-old star. Both girls, who are the same age as Vaibhav, wore Rajasthan Royals jerseys and got the chance to click pictures with him.
The Rajasthan Royals’ official X (formerly Twitter) account shared the moment, praising the dedication of the young supporters. The post read, “Proof why we have the best fans. Drove for 6 hours to Worcester. Wore their Pink. Cheered for Vaibhav & Team India. Aanya and Rivaa, as old as Vaibhav himself, had a day to remember.”
India U19 Clinch Series with Suryavanshi’s Firepower
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the star performer in the five-match Youth ODI series against England, scoring 355 runs. His highlight came in the fourth ODI, where he smashed 143 runs and set the record for the fastest century in Youth ODIs, surpassing Pakistan’s Kamran Ghulam.
India U19 went on to win the series 3-2, with Suryavanshi playing key roles in four of the games. His fearless batting gave India a solid start even when wickets fell early.
From IPL Sensation to National Fame
Suryavanshi rose to global fame during IPL 2025 when, at just 14, he scored a 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans. That made him the youngest centurion in men’s T20 cricket and the second-fastest to score a century in IPL history. He debuted for Rajasthan Royals after Sanju Samson’s injury and immediately made an impact, hitting a six off the very first ball he faced.
He first made headlines at the IPL 2025 auction when he became the youngest player ever bought in IPL history at age 13, with Rajasthan Royals picking him up for ₹1.1 crore. From IPL fame to winning hearts in England, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s journey is just getting started.
