Bangladesh head coach Phil Simmons has shared his thoughts on the upcoming Super Four clash with India in the Asia Cup 2025. Despite India’s impressive record and their position as the reigning world champions, Simmons doesn’t believe India is an unbeatable force. Instead, he focuses on the importance of the day of the game and believes every team has the potential to defeat India. His comments come after Bangladesh’s morale-boosting win over Sri Lanka, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling contest.
In an interview ahead of the match, Simmons emphasized that while India’s past performances are remarkable, the outcome of the game would depend on how both teams play on that particular day. “The game is played on the day. It’s not what India has done before. It’s what happens on Wednesday. It’s about performing during those three and a half hours,” said Simmons.

However, he reassured that his team has trained hard and is prepared for the challenge. “It is extremely difficult to play back-to-back T20 matches, but again we are prepared,” Simmons mentioned.
